Caring Emergency Response Team

Update for 2020: Calvary Chapel Saint Paul has repurposed our meeting times to meet the needs of others. We are currently receiving donations of food, toiletries, and other basic needs on Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings.

For those members Calvary Chapel Saint Paul: please bring items to meet the needs of others. Be ready to deliver goods to those in need. And spread the word to your neighbors, friends, and those you meet. As a reminder, we are using the 7th Day Adventist building, so please continue to keep to the Leviticus 17 guidelines (primarily, but not exclusively, no pork products or shellfish).

If you have needs, make them known to your home fellowship leader, or email them to ccsp@ccsaintpaul.org.

Matthew 10:8 – “Freely you have received, freely give.”

No one leaves Calvary Chapel Saint Paul with an unmet need! Taking care of the body of Christ, the C.E.R.T. team prepares meals, cleans, organizes food banks, plans clothing exchanges, and otherwise helps members of the body in special need or during stressful times and emergencies.

Vision for C.E.R.T.

C.E.R.T. is a practical way to be “Others Centered” and bless the Body of Christ by caring for the needs of our brothers and sisters.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:8-10)

CARING: To take care of; look after; provide for (Acts 27:3, 1 Corinthians 12:25)
EMERGENCY: Immediate action (Titus 3:13-14)
RESPONSE: Answer; reply (Psalms 102:2, 143:1)
TEAM: A group of people serving together in unity (Psalms 100:3)

C.E.R.T. is for anyone who has made Calvary Chapel Saint Paul their home and has a need. It is our belief that the Church is here for the people, NOT the people for the church. It is our Pastor’s vision and desire to love, nourish, care for, feed, and encourage our Body; for we are the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27).

Our goal is to care for God’s people by seeking out the needs of our Body and meeting those needs, so that no one would leave with an unmet need and that this Body would be the most well-fed, best loved sheep around.

Where God Guides He Provides!

“By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth…” -1 John 3:16-18
